The MuslimLine is a UK based initiative arranged to help Muslims that have suffered from a hate crime due to their race, ethnic background or religion in public or at work.

The aims and objectives of the MuslimLine are as follows:

Advice and Guidance
We advise the caller as to whether the incident is a hate crime and guide him/her to other organisations that we feel can provide help through support and counselling. In case of emergencies and with the prior permission of the caller, we will call 999 on his/her behalf.

Log and Report
All incidents are logged on a database with the caller’s permission. This helps us ascertain the extent of Islamophobic incidents that are occurring in the UK. Again with the caller’s permission we can produce a report and email or fax it to the callers local Police, The Commission For Racial Equality or local Racial Equality Councils.

Sympathetic Ear
A supportive member of our staff will answer all calls and provide as much confidential emotional support, help and time to the caller as possible.

Confidentiality
The caller’s details are treated with the utmost confidence and no information is divulged without the caller’s prior permission.
